Happy Saturday!
I can’t believe this is the first post of 2021. I have thought of many things to post but none was so pressing on my heart. However, when I heard this song, Promise Keeper by Israel Houghton ft. Travis Greene a week ago, my whole being felt a jot to post.
This song speaks volume to how I feel this season. I love this song because God introduced himself to me as a Promise Keeper in a different way – HE reminded me that though he is the faithful promise keeper, we should also be faithful keepers of his promise! by worshipping, being a continued blessing to others, speaking his word over myself, family, friends, church, and the nations of the world AND not doubting, fretting, or worrying. After all, HE has given us the grace to keep his promise (2 Corinthians 12:9).
According to definitions online, a promise keeper is “committed to honoring Jesus Christ through worship, prayer, and obedience to his Word, through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
- Don’t lose God’s promise by compromising your trust in HIM.
- He does not forget his promise to us. Isaiah 49:15 “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.”
- His word never fails. Isaiah 55:11 “so shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: It shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Since he has promised us and he never lies (Numbers 23:19; 1 Samuel 15:29), we should trust his promise and honor his promise through worship, thanksgiving at ALL times, and reading his word. He doesn’t need us to do these things for him to honor HIS WORD. But how wonderful is it to draw near to the PROMISE KEEPER as he does his work in our lives!
In need of something today? Here are some of God’s promises concerning your situation today…HOLD onto it. What do you have to lose?
Healing: Jeremiah 30:17 – “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the LORD”; Isaiah 40:29 – “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
Fruit of the womb: Exodus 23:26 -“None shall miscarry or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.”; Deuteronomy 7:13 – “And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb,….”; Leviticus 26:9 – “For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.”
Direction: Psalm 32:8 – “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”
Elevation: James 4:10 – “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you”.

Your love is true
Promise Keeper, You deliver
On Your word
And I will trust You
You see my need, You hear my cry
You never fail, You never fail
You never have, You never will
Your word remains forever
Your love is true
Promise Keeper, You deliver
On Your word
And I will trust You
You keep Your hand and Your eye on me
You always will, You always will
You’re faithful, You were faithful then
Your word remains forever
Forever and ever (and ever)
Your love is true
Promise Keeper, You deliver
On Your word
And I will trust You
I’m pressing into what lies ahead
Never let go Your promises
You will deliver just like You said
What lies behind me, I will forget
I’m pressing into what lies ahead
Never let go Your promises
You will deliver just like You said
Promise Keeper
Promise Keeper
On Your word
And I will trust You
Have a blessed day!
