Happy Wednesday – I hope your week is going great.
Today’s LOVE word is a question, we believers should ask ourselves daily: why aren’t we telling others about Jesus.
I went to witness yesterday with a friend and this question lingered in me- why aren’t there other christians out here evangelizing. I mean visibly evangelizing? Why are we so worried about what people will say or think?
I understand we live in a society where church and state should be “separate” BUT is that the excuse we are going to give God on the last day?
I couldn’t because the government frowned against me preaching at work, on the streets, etc
I couldn’t because I was shy (but you aren’t shy to ask God for things)
I couldn’t because I didn’t have time (who owns time? Who held time for Joshua)
Beloved, these are not realistic excuses before God (seriously)….lets JUST OBEY!
As christians, we are COMMANDED to share the news of Jesus – preach the gospel to all
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. – Mark 16:15
I understand it can be difficult or scary, but I think we need to understand that it’s a commandment of God. God equates/parallels FRUITFULNESS to soul winning.
John 15:2 – He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.
The bible tells us FAITH without WORKS (evangelizing/witnessing/telling others about God) is DEAD – James 2:14-19
vs 14 – What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?
vs 15 – Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.
vs 16 – If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?
vs 17 – In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
vs 18 – But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
vs 19 – You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that–and shudder.
I am also a working progress – I am asking God for more grace to share his word
We prioritize our day
Why can’t we do the same with the LORD
Let’s make the commitment to share the good news to at least one person a day.
God bless us all as we obey
Have a blessed day.
