Today, I celebrate my loving, selfless, kind, generous, giving, beautiful, intelligent, elegant, and SEXY mother (yes, she still got it).

Mommy, I celebrate you publicly today not because you birth me, but because

you LOVE me,

you chastise me with LOVE,

you ENCOURAGE me,

you’re constantly PRAYING FOR ME,

above all

you’re always reminding me to THANK AND PRAISE THE ALMIGHTY GOD.

We certainly have our moments, but no amount of money in this world would make me request someone else as a mother.

Ife: “How are your siblings?”

Sis: When I say “anyway,” she always says, “Anyway is a way!”

Bro: Pray

 What makes mom happy?

Ife: Mom is happy when all her children are with her gisting and talking about life

Sis: When her children are doing well and happy and everyone stays in touch.

Bro: Nothing and no one except mom herself

 What makes mom sad?

Ife: Mom is sad when her children aren’t around or when I disobey her wishes

Sis: Being away from family and people being inconsiderate/uncaring

Bro: Nothing and no one except mom herself

 How does your mom make you laugh?

Ife: When I dance. She says I cannot dance

Sis: When she says random jargon or when I crack a joke on her and she says “iya baba e!” (means “your father’s mother!” for my non-Yoruba audience)

 What was your mom like as a child?

Ife: According to her, she was stubborn

Sis: I am not sure. Most likely strong headed.

Bro: Idk, I was not born yet

 What is her favorite thing to do?

Ife: My mom loves to gist and SHOP

Sis: She loves to talk. Chitchat, gist etc.

Ife: My mom prays and WORKS

Sis: She is always on the go.

Ife: Oh my, her dance and jokes!

Sis: Her being funny without trying.

Ife: My mom is excellent at multitasking; managing her businesses, cooking, and helping people.

Sis: A lot to list; cooking, negotiating, helping, getting things done.

 What is your mom not very good at?

Ife: Keeping calm when upset

Sis: Exercising and staying active

Bro: Speaking at a regular-tone on the phone

 What does your mom do for a job?

Ife: Mom is a jack of most trades (teaching and nursing), but she is a business woman.

Sis: She is a businesswoman.

Bro: Entrepreneur

 What is your mom’s favorite food?

Ife: Chinese and tea (not together)

Sis: Junk food wise: Chinese food and burger. If tea is considered food, that is her favorite hands down.

Ife: My mom’s heart. Her strength and resilience

Sis: How devoted and strong she is.

Ife: Idk…I do not watch cartoons. However, my mom is mama bear

Sis: I am not into cartoons and neither is she.

Ife: Pray and gist

Ife: Oh my, we are both strong willed and caring

Ife: My mom is not a fan of eating green ( 😉 )

Sis: I think mom likes to talk often and be around people. I like being by myself.

Bro: She’s a Capricorn and I’m a Virgo

 How do you know your mom loves you?

Ife: She prays for me and is selfless with me

Sis: Her selflessness, my goodness. Always putting me first no matter what.

Bro: She shows me

 What does your mom like most about you?

Ife: You would have to ask her….I suppose my kindness

Sis: Good question. I tend to give her what she wants ( 😉 )

 Where is your mom’s favorite place to go?

Ife: I do not think she necessarily has a favorite place, she is of the belief your company makes a place memorable and fun!

Sis: She likes to go out in general whether it be to walk around, window shop, or eat just as long as she is not stuck at home.
