What was your favorite breakfast meal as a kid? I don’t like cereal 😦
What is your most favorite cooking sound? Sizzle sound of meat or vegetables on my pan skillet.
What is your comfort food? Rice, puff puff, fried plantain (dodo)..any of these three work wonders
Is there a food you will not eat? Snake, dog, cat ..any uncommon animals, you get the gist.
Which ingredient(s) do you use the most? Hmmm, this is hard to say because it depends on what am cooking.. Most of my savory dishes will have onions and bell peppers.
Foods I adore? Fruits, vegetables, animal proteins (beef, chicken, fish, lamb, seafood..), grains, lentils, beans, rice, potatoes, yams, etc…I just love foo
Foods I loathe? Grits (I plan to give it another try soon) and too much cheese or grease on anything.
In the kitchen, what’s your most treasured possession? My Pots and Pans, my ninja, my food processors, my mixer, my utensils, my cooking knives and spoons, my sandwich toaster, my dishes, my spiralizer, my rolling pin..just don’t touch anything .haha!
Tea or coffee? Tea
Sweet or Savory? Savory
Favorite drinks? Water..then most fruit juices – orange, pineapple, prune, cranberry, zobo
Favorite fruits? Citrus fruits – tangerines, cuties, mandarines, oranges
Favorite vegetable? Spinach, Green Bell peppers, other bell peppers
Favorite herbs? Basil and Thyme
What is your favorite dessert? Ice cream!!!
Favorite TV chefs? Paula Deen, The Pioneer woman, Racheal Ray, Anthony Bourdain, Gordon Ramsay …
Favorite foodie film? Ratatoullie! I also enjoyed Chef very much.
What food are you craving right now? Haha, I just had a veggie omelette so nothing..well, I could have a milk shake
Which food website/ or blog would you die without? The “So you think you can cook” group on Facebook is a great inspiration…I have learnt a lot from that group. …And Who can live without food network?
What is your favorite food shopping experience? I love to go food shopping in stores that give free samples…HEB and Sams club most weekends. I get to try new food items, sauces, spices..etc. I also love shopping at whole foods and Phoenicia , I always come home with great ideas and loving food a little more!
What’s the dress code in the kitchen when you cook? Anything am wearing – Very comfortable mostly..so no heels!
What food is your guilty pleasure? A dinner size beef, chicken and shrimp fajita with flour tortillas, grilled bell peppers and onions, guacamole, cheese, rice, beans, jalapenos….and a Tres leche and ice cream for dessert. Don’t you love Mexican food?!..hehe
What food would you prepare to impress someone? Pasta or some Nigerian cuisine
Have you ever changed how you feel towards a food? Maybe – But I still don’t like grits.
Secret ingredients? Onions, green bell peppers
If you could move from your current country, which country would you move to for the food? Maybe Spain…well, Nigeria for sure (food is great there)
