20 Questions with Leke A.

Leke’s testimony of salvation shows how unimaginably forgiving our God is. He doesn’t hold anything against us when he come to him. Thanks Leke for letting us in through your lens.

A. Describe yourself in 4 words? Cool, Goal getter, Inquisitive.

I love God because He first showed His love to me and died for me. He demonstrates His love to me every moment and every day. Which serves as a model for my life. Knowing him alone, quickens me and enables me to love Him the more.

Favorite encounter with God. My favorite encounter with God would be the day he saved me while I was in college, years ago. I was always moving with the ‘happening’ guys on campus, we would go to drink together, get drunk, go for parties together and stuff like that. I never really took God seriously, but one night, with my grades declining seriously and me in tears as to why my friends were doing so well academically and I wasn’t, I heard him tell me, if you would surrender to me, you would never cry over any result again. I took the invitation to salvation, joined a bible believing fellowship (Christ Apostolic Church Student Association) to be precise, devoted myself to Him and my life has never been the same again.

Favorite bible scripture? Ephesians 3:14-21

To me, God stands for …………(acronym- your choice) – Love

Favorite female in the bible? Abigail; Ruth.

Favorite male in the bible? John the beloved; David

Favorite thing about Jesus? His love towards us, how much he typified that Love and gave himself as an example to follow. His humility while He was on the earth, stooping so low to live among men, washing the feet of the disciples and going to the cross with so much meekness, despite the fact that he had all the authority and power in the universe. Also the way He used his Faith with Boldness.

Favorite thing about God? His Grace, Love and patience towards me.

I pray because It shows humility and dependence before the Lord, and it is the gateway to fellow shipping with God.

Favorite parable? The Parable of the Sower (the gateway to understanding other parables)-Mark 4:13

On that last day, I want Jesus to say Well done my good and faithful servant.

If I could do one thing for Jesus, it would be To continually set my affections on Him and all He stands for.

What does LOVE mean to you? His Person(God Himself).

A testimony/story that makes you marvel overtime about God – I remember when I interned as a Software Engineer with a popular software company, in 2016. I was given a task to work on, which involved rebuilding one of their core software tools, the one they were currently using was about 10 years old and the people who built it had left the company. Other engineers didn’t want to work on the project because, it looked so overwhelmingly difficult and complex-I guess they felt it would be a waste of time. So it was given to me, I remember whenever I asked my mentor for advice on what to do, he told me, he didn’t know because it was a closed system of sorts. So I knew I had to figure it out on my own. So I tried for a couple of weeks but still had no idea on what to do. Then one day, I went to the bathroom, I felt frustrated, because I was thinking my internship would end unfruitful without making a mark at the company. So I had a leading to begin to confess by faith that I could build it despite not knowing how, and throughout that day, I kept saying: I will build this tool and finish what I came here for by faith in Jesus name, while meditating on and using Mark 11:22-25 as my blueprint. By the time the internship was over, I had built it, my mentor, the director of the whole team, and even also other VPs were so excited and started holding meetings with me on how to move it forward for an official release, the tool is being used today by the team and I even got called back after school as a full time Software Engineer. Hallelujah. All because of the Lord’s grace
