Today’s fashion craze is Gingham

I find it very interesting how certain cloth items/styles are making their way back to fashion.

My fellow Nigerians, do you remember wearing checkered house gowns in secondary school? As a secondary school boarder, I wore red checkered house gowns (aka gingham gowns) to represent my house color (aka Oduduwa house). I can certainly say, those house gowns weren’t fancy or stylish. Definitely a lifetime ago.

According to wikipedia, “Gingham is a medium-weight balanced plain-woven fabric made from dyed cotton or cotton-blend yarn. Gingham has no right or wrong side with respect to color”.
