2017 MET GALA

So yesterday was the Met Gala, an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. Every year, the event celebrates the theme of that year’s Costume Institute exhibition, and the exhibition sets the tone for the formal dress of the night.

Guests are expected to choose their fashion to match the theme of the exhibit. This year’s theme was Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between.

Breakdown: Rei Kawakubo was a Japanese fashion designer and founder of Comme des Garçons.

ON TO THE FASHION…….There were some beautiful wears and questionable wears. However, it’s fashion, so it’s all about interpretation. Nonetheless, I am of the belief that you can look exquisitely beautiful while being modest.

My top look of the night was Felicity Jones, 2nd runner up was Mandy Moore and third look was Claire Foy.

Other favorites of the night include Zoey Deutch; Jennifer Connelly; Lupita Nyongo; Diane Kruger; Kerry Washington; Ruth Negga; Ashley Graham; and Kim Kardashian.

My fashion dear devil award goes to Solange Knowles and Rihanna
