Today’s post is about a dynamic worshiper and songwriter – Ms. Sunmisola.

I first heard of her when she led worship during a memorial service. I don’t remember the exact songs she sang that day, but I remember watching her ministration on either IG or YouTube and thinking—wow. A few days later, one of her songs appeared on my YouTube Shorts feed, and I decided to check out more of her music. I’ve been hooked ever since. I was privileged to see her in person at LIGHT UP CONNECTICUT in 2024.

WHO IS SUNMISOLA AGBEBI

Ms. Sunmisola is a Nigerian Christian gospel singer, songwriter, and worship leader.

She has many beautiful songs but one of my favorite song of hers is called HOLY SPIRIT. I particularly mediate on these words from the song:

Holy spirit you’re my Lord

You’re my teacher and my friend

And I love you but I know

You love me more than than I can love you

Why I love these lyrics? Because though God shows no favoritism (Romans 2:11; Acts 10:34), he loves me so specially and deeply that He delights in teaching me and calling me His friend.
